Since the 9th of June 2022, weed has been completely removed from Thailand's list of controlled substances. This means that it is legal to grow, cultivate, consume, buy and sell weed.
However, there are certain restrictions and limitations to this:
- Producing weed extracts that contain more than 0.2% THC and consuming weed in public is still illegal.
- Sales of weed plant parts, products, and edibles are prohibited to minors younger than 20 years of age, pregnant women and breastfeeding women.
- Weed smoke is considered a public nuisance and thus prohibited in public areas.
